An AI that calls businesses for you, from WhatsApp

Some things still get settled fastest by phone: whether a clinic has a slot on Friday, whether a restaurant can take six people tonight, whether a shop has something in stock. Hyv is a personal AI agent in your private WhatsApp or Telegram chat, and it can make that call for you and report back in the chat. Here is how it works, what it will and will not do, and where it is available.

How to get Hyv to call a business for you

1. Say what you need in your chat with Hyv. For example: "Call Dr Mehta's clinic and ask if there is a slot on Friday morning."
2. Hyv checks whether a call is needed at all. If the answer is online, such as opening hours or a listed price, it looks it up instead. If a short message would do, it drafts one for you.
3. You confirm the call. Hyv shows a Call card with who it will call, why, how long the call can last and how many of today's minutes you have left. Nothing is dialled until you approve.
4. Hyv places the call. It says it is an AI assistant calling on your behalf and that the call is transcribed, then asks for exactly what you described.
5. You get the result in the chat. A separate check compares the outcome with the transcript, so Hyv only tells you a booking is made if the call actually supports it.

Things people ask Hyv to call about

• Checking whether a clinic, salon or service has an appointment slot.
• Confirming a table, or asking whether a restaurant can take a group.

What Hyv will not do on a call

• It does not pay for anything and never gives out card details.
• It agrees only to what you asked for. If the business offers something different, Hyv brings it back to you instead of accepting.
• It treats what the other side says as information, never as instructions.
• It will not call a business that is closed or about to close. It tells you when they open and offers to call then.

Limits

• Calling covers outgoing calls to businesses in the UAE and India.
• By default you have 10 talk minutes and up to 10 dial attempts in a rolling 24 hours. Minutes free up 24 hours after the call that used them.
• A single call can last up to 5 minutes. Calls that never connect, or reach a machine, use no minutes.
• You can ask Hyv in chat how many of today's minutes are left, or see it in the Hyv app.

How call minutes work

• A connected call counts in whole minutes, rounded up. A call of 58 seconds counts as one minute, and a call of 61 seconds counts as two.
• Calls that never connect, calls that fail to go through, and calls answered by a machine use no minutes. They still count as a dial attempt, so the attempts limit is what stops repeated tries.
• The day is rolling. Minutes free up 24 hours after the call that used them, not at midnight.

The Hyv app shows your call minutes as a share of today's allowance, and you can ask Hyv in chat how much is used and when more frees up. Both read from the same numbers Hyv uses to allow or refuse a call.

When you ask for a call, the Call card shows the details too: how long this call can last, and how many of today’s minutes you have left. If you are out of minutes or dial attempts, Hyv tells you before anything is dialled, and says when more free up.

Will the business know it is an AI?

Yes. Hyv always says at the start of the call that it is an AI assistant calling on your behalf, and that the call is transcribed for your records.
