Find the right person through people you trust

Tell Hyv what you need in your chat. It asks a circle of people you trust, and names are shared only when both people say yes.

Through friends: Hyv asks your circle. Names are shared only when both people say yes.

The person who can help with what you need is often one or two steps away: a neighbour selling a fridge, a friend of a friend at the company you are applying to, someone in your building who runs in the mornings. Asking everyone you know one by one is awkward, and posting in a big group puts you on display. Hyv is a personal AI agent in your private WhatsApp or Telegram chat. You tell it what you need, it asks a circle of people you trust, and nobody's name is shared until both sides say yes.

How to find someone through Hyv

  1. Say what you need in your chat with Hyv, the way you would say it to a friend. For example: "Anyone up for a run tonight?", "I need a second-hand fridge" or "Does anyone know someone at that company?" There is no form to fill in and no command to type.
  2. Check the card. Before anything is shared, Hyv shows you exactly what would go out: the ask, the circle it would go to and how long it stays open. If you say no, or say nothing, Hyv does nothing. It never publishes silently.
  3. Hyv shares your wish with that circle. Your identity stays hidden until there is a match both sides accept.
  4. A match needs two yeses. When someone in the circle can help, both of you are asked. Only when both say yes are your names shared with each other. If either person declines, nobody is told who said no.
  5. Stay in control. "Cancel that" withdraws a wish. "What have I got out there?" shows you what is open.

Looking for more than one person

For a group, such as three people for a morning run or an open table for dinner, ask Hyv for a specific number of people, from two up to twenty, or leave the group open. The wish keeps matching until every spot is taken or it expires.

  • Each person who joins agrees to meet you, not each other, and never sees the other joiners' names.
  • When the last spot fills, or the wish expires, Hyv sends you one roster of everyone who joined.
  • You can ask Hyv who is in at any time in your private chat. In a shared chat it only gives the count.

Asking one specific person

Sometimes you want something from one person you already know: an answer, a decision, a quick check. That is a trusted request.

  • You tell Hyv what you need and from whom.
  • Hyv delivers the request privately, in that person's own chat, as something they can accept or decline.
  • If they answer, they approve what comes back to you. Declining is quiet, so nobody is put on the spot.
  • Two people become trusted contacts once, as a pair. If either side revokes that trust, it stops in both directions.

What stays private

  • There is no directory of members and no profile to browse.
  • The person you ask sees the request, not what Hyv worked out about them.
  • Health, money, relationships and legal matters are never shared as wishes.
  • Consent is given per circle and per wish. Saying yes once does not mean yes forever.

Circles: the people Hyv asks

A circle is a private group of people who chose to be there: your team, your building, your family, your old college friends. Anyone on Hyv can create one and becomes its owner. A circle can be open, or the owner can approve each request to join. It gets more useful as it gets denser, not bigger: twelve people who know each other are worth more than twelve hundred who do not.

If you are on Hyv, type /circles to see your circles, or ask Hyv to create one for the people you talk to most.

Why there is no profile to browse

Most products that connect people start with a profile and a search box. That means anyone can look you up, and the people who reach out first are the ones with the most time, not the ones who are the best fit. Hyv has no profiles to browse and no directory to scroll. It connects people only around a real, current need, and only when both of them want it.

Ways to get an introduction, compared

  • Ask a friend directly. Personal and quick, but you only reach the people you think of, and your friend does the work.
  • An email introduction with permission. A mutual contact asks each person first, then introduces you. Polite and reliable, but slow, and it depends on someone's time.
  • Professional networks. Wide reach, but requests to people you don't know are often ignored, and your profile is public.
  • Community groups. Good for open questions, but everyone in the group sees what you asked.
  • Hyv. You ask once in your private chat, Hyv asks a circle of people you trust, and names are shared only when both people say yes.
