Groups: quiet read-along without typing or reactions

In some group chats, Hyv is set up to read every message so it can follow the conversation and step in only when its standing instructions say it should. Until now, waking up to read a message also turned on Telegram's typing indicator for at least 15 seconds and could add an emoji reaction. Now, Hyv reads along quietly without showing that it is typing or reacting.

How it works

In a busy group, a constant typing indicator makes it look as if Hyv is about to answer every single message, even when it has nothing to add. With this change, how Hyv shows its presence in a read-along group depends on what the message does:

• Reading along: When someone posts a general message to the group, Hyv wakes up silently in the background. It does not show a typing indicator and does not add an emoji reaction. If Hyv decides to answer based on the group's instructions, its reply simply appears in the chat.
• Direct engagement: When someone tags Hyv or replies directly to one of Hyv's messages, Hyv shows the usual typing indicator and may add an emoji reaction while it prepares its answer.
• Active replies: If Hyv is already typing a reply to an earlier direct question, quiet chatter from other members in the group will not cut off that typing indicator before the answer is sent. Once a reply has been delivered, later chatter will not bring the old typing indicator back.

Limits

• Other chat modes are unchanged: Private chats, groups where Hyv only wakes up when mentioned, and groups that wake Hyv on specific words or names keep their existing behaviour. Matching a specific word or name is treated as intentional engagement, so Hyv still shows that it is typing.
• Other automated accounts in Telegram: If a group has another automated account in it, replying to a message from that account is treated the same as replying to Hyv, and will still trigger a typing indicator.
• Interim replies: If you tag Hyv and it sends a quick holding message while it keeps working on the full answer, new group chatter during that wait can stop the typing indicator early. The full reply still arrives when it is ready.
