Payment links and transfers, approved in your wallet

Ask a contact to pay you from your Hyv chat. You confirm a card with the amount, address and wallet, then Hyv sends them the wallet payment link.

Payment links: to a contact

From your Hyv chat you can ask a contact to pay you, or prepare a stablecoin transfer to someone. Either way, Hyv shows a confirmation card with the details first, and the payment is approved in a wallet, never by Hyv on its own.

How it works

In chat with Hyv, ask a contact to pay you in plain language. For example: ask Meera to send 20 USDC on Base to your address, using MetaMask.

Hyv shows a confirmation card titled Send payment link? The card names who receives it, the amount, your pay-to address, the token contract and their wallet. It does not show the URL. Only you can confirm. Cancel stops there.

After you confirm, Hyv delivers a payer-worded text and wallet link as your trusted message. If the contact is not yet a trusted contact, the link waits behind the usual trust invitation and goes once they accept.

What Hyv will not do

  • It does not forward MetaMask or Trust Wallet links that someone typed into chat. Those are refused; the confirmed card is the path.
  • It does not send to someone who is not a Hyv member.
  • It does not deliver if trusted exchanges are switched off, or if the contact’s alias now names someone else after you confirmed.
  • It does not know which addresses are yours. You still read the Pay to (your address) line on the card.

If the card times out, or if any detail changes, Hyv needs a fresh confirmation. A card prepared for your own wallet cannot be reused to send to a contact.

How this fits with Transfers

Transfers prepare a link for you to open in your own wallet. Payment links send a link to someone else who should pay you. Both use the same confirm-before-action rule, the same wallets and the same supported networks and tokens.

Sending a transfer

How a transfer works

In your private chat with Hyv, ask for a transfer in plain language. For example: prepare 20 USDC on Base to a full 0x address, using MetaMask.

Hyv asks for anything that is missing: wallet, network, token, amount or the full recipient address. It does not guess the network from an address, and it does not shorten or rewrite what you gave it.

When the details are complete, Hyv shows a confirmation card with the exact transfer: token, amount, network, wallet and the full recipient. Only you can tap Prepare link. Cancel stops there. After you confirm, Hyv delivers the wallet link in that same private chat. You open it in MetaMask or Trust Wallet, review the transfer on the wallet screen, and approve or cancel yourself.

What Hyv will not do with a transfer

  • It does not hold your keys or ask for seed phrases, passwords or signatures in chat.
  • It does not sign or broadcast the transaction.
  • It does not check your balance or gas, and it does not report whether a transfer completed.
  • It does not bridge, swap, approve arbitrary contracts or resolve names such as ENS.
  • It will not prepare a link from a group chat.

If the card times out, or if any detail changes, Hyv needs a fresh confirmation.

What is supported today

  • MetaMask and Trust Wallet.
  • Native USDC on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum One, OP Mainnet, Polygon PoS and Avalanche C-Chain.
  • USDT on Ethereum and Avalanche C-Chain.
  • Base Sepolia test USDC through MetaMask only, clearly labeled as testnet with no monetary value.

Other networks, bridged tokens and unknown contracts are rejected with a clear explanation rather than a best guess. Transfers stay on the network you chose.

Where it is today

Payment requests are built. They go only to trusted contacts, and Hyv refuses wallet links pasted into chat. A live chat check on WhatsApp or Telegram still needs a final pass before we treat this as fully live for every member.

The transfer tools are built. Physical opening of MetaMask and Trust Wallet links on iOS and Android, and a full private-chat run on a phone, are still being checked before we treat this as fully live for every member.

Questions

Does Hyv move money for me?

No. You confirm a card in chat, and the transfer is approved in your own wallet.

Private by default. Consent before people. Restraint before action.
