Private browser and encrypted password vault

How Hyv uses websites for you in a private browser, signs in without ever seeing your password, and asks before anything final.

Hyv's private browser and encrypted password vault

Hyv can use websites for you in a private browser. When a site needs you to sign in, Hyv uses the login saved in your encrypted password vault, and the AI never sees your password. It can move files in and out with your confirmation, and before it submits anything final, such as a booking or a payment, it shows you what it will send and waits for your yes.

Not everything you need done has a neat connection behind it. Some tasks only happen on a website: checking an account, booking a slot, changing an order.

A private browser

Each member has a private browser that Hyv can use on their behalf. It is yours alone, and it stays signed in between conversations, so Hyv does not have to start from scratch every time you ask for something.

You can ask Hyv to look something up, fill in a form or check the status of something on a site you use. It works in your private chat with Hyv.

A vault for your passwords

To sign in to a site for you, Hyv needs your login. It never asks for it in the chat, and you should never type a password into a chat with Hyv.

Instead, you save the login in the Hyv app, under You, then Password vault: the website, your username and your password. It is encrypted and stored for you alone. Once saved, it is never shown again, not to you and not to Hyv. When Hyv needs to sign in, the system types the saved login into your private browser. Hyv itself never reads the password.

You are told every time

Each time a saved login is used, Hyv tells you in the chat. It also shows up under Recent activity on the vault page, so you can see when and where your logins were used.

What it cannot do yet

We would rather be clear about the limits:

  • It does not store payment cards. If a task involves paying, Hyv uses what is already saved on that site, and it always asks you first.
  • It works in private chats only, never in a group.

Why we built it this way

An agent that can act on your behalf is only useful if you can trust what it does with your access. Keeping passwords out of the conversation entirely, and telling you every time one is used, is how we try to earn that trust.

Uploads, downloads and screenshots

Uploads, after you confirm

Ask Hyv to attach a file on a site, such as a photo you sent it or a document it prepared. Before anything is attached, Hyv sends a preview and a confirmation card in your private chat. The card shows the file name, size and type, the site, and the exact person or page it is going to. Nothing is attached until you confirm.

The file attached is the one you approved, even if the original changes afterwards. If any detail changes, Hyv asks again with a new card. Attaching is not sending: a final Send or Publish still needs its own confirmation. On WhatsApp Web, photos go through the regular Photos & videos option, so they arrive as photos, not stickers, and only to the chat name you saw on the card.

Downloads, at original quality

Ask Hyv to save a file from a page, such as a bill or a statement. Hyv sends you the original in your private chat as a document, so it is not compressed. It saves one file at a time, from the page it is working on. It does not fetch links on its own using your signed-in sessions.

Screenshots, with private fields hidden

Ask Hyv what a page looks like and it can send you a screenshot. Every form field, editable text area and embedded frame is masked before the capture, so your entries, passwords and codes do not appear in the image. There is no option to export what you typed into a form.

Checks on every file

  • File types are checked from their contents, not their names. Web pages, SVG files, programs and scripts are refused.
  • Documents and archives (PDF, Office, text and ZIP files) are scanned for malware. If the scan finds something, or cannot run, the file is refused.
  • Size limits: about 16 MB for photos and audio, 64 MB for video and 100 MB for documents.
  • Files are held only until they are delivered. Anything undelivered is removed after 24 hours.

Limits

  • Private chats only, never groups.
  • Sending a video through WhatsApp Web, and saving the originals of photos, videos and documents other people sent you on WhatsApp, are still being checked. Until that work is done, treat them as not yet available.
  • Your passwords, saved logins, cookies and form entries stay outside Hyv's reach.

Forms Hyv fills in for you

Ask Hyv to fill in a form on a website: an RSVP, a waitlist, a flight status lookup, a contact or enquiry form. Hyv opens the page in its browser, fills in the details you gave it, and sends the form when it is safe to.

When Hyv asks first

Filling a form does not change who decides.

  • Hyv fills in a form you ask for in your private browser, and before it submits anything final (a booking, a payment, an account change), it shows you what it is about to send and waits for your yes.
  • Payments still need your explicit confirmation of the exact summary, every time.

What it does not do

  • Signing in to your accounts still goes through your password vault, and Hyv still never sees your password.
  • Some forms will still need you. When Hyv cannot finish one, it tells you and gives you the link and the details it gathered, so you can finish in a minute.

Questions

Does Hyv see my passwords?

No. You save logins in the Hyv app's password vault. Once saved, a password is never shown again, not to you and not to Hyv.

Will Hyv submit a form without asking?

Not when it matters. Before a booking, a payment or an account change, Hyv shows you what it will send and waits for your yes.

Private by default. Consent before people. Restraint before action.
